Yesterday I got so angry hearing about a recent, horrendous abuse case in America. I was so fired up about reaching hurting and lost children that we started calling around to government orphanages to make a visit. It's been a long time on my heart to do so, so we ended up at a girls home last night with chocolate biscuits(cookies) and mango juice. Two friends, Rachel, the boys and I got to mingle with 48 precious and priceless girls! One girl wanted to hold my hand and didn't let go and for the first time when the children begged me to sing to them...I did...and the boys and I sang "Our God is an awesome God" and "Where you go I go" by Jesus Culture with a mob of girls circling us on a wet and humid, mosquito swarmed porch! Earlier the superintendent wouldn't let us teach them a Christian song but somehow the Spirit led and He had his way to reach them this way. They are used to getting occasional visitors and gifts but rarely someone to hold their hands and talk all kinds of subjects(Isaac, Rachel, and Daniel had some funny stories of all kinds of questions they were asking...especially about us.) One girl came straight up to me and said, what is your daughter's name? This was her way of finding out if I was married and had a family. This is after I shared my testimony with Rachel with many tears just hours before. I was speechless...
